Dale J. Mack grew up in Elkland, Pennsylvania and was nicknamed Little Britches by his grandmother. Dale is the author of numerous articles which have been published in several local and national newspapers and magazines, including The Westfield Free Press-Caurier, The New York Times Magazine and Travelhost Magazine, where he was on staff for over twelve years. He is a graduate of the Institute of Chilren's Literature of Redding, Connecticut and Christ For The Nations Institute of Dallas, Texas, where he received his degree in Practical Theology.
Dale lives in Dallas, Texas with his son Philip.
Val Rook worked with an oil company in Virginia for 17 years before emarking on her dream to open a children's clothing store. In 2003 she opened Pookie's Little Britches in Corning New York, where all clothes at $3 each. She got the name from the nicknames given to her and her brother by their grandmother.
While in Virginia, Val was active in a number of organizations. She was Ombudsman for the U.S.S. Kidd and also the president of the Wives' Club for the U.S.S. America while her husband Rob served in the U.S. Navy on both ships.
Val and Rob have four daughters and eight grandchildren. They live in Corning, New York.
Brian Bulkley has been working as an illustrator for nearly 30 years. In that time he has drawn everything from precious jewels to a pile of dirt. Recent times have found him illustrating men's clothing, art directing doll conventions and doing commissioned pet portraits.
He lives in his home town in Upstate New York.
